San Ramon, CA -- Global Inventures, Inc., announced the recent addition of the SD Card Association to its list of clients. The SD Card Association (SDA) encourages the development of products that utilize SD technology through its programs to extend and enhance technical specifications and certification programs for SD™, miniSD™ and microSD™ removable memory cards, SDIO devices and secure media applications for the SD technology.
SDA had been self managed since its inception in 2000, but decided to work with Global Inventures after a multi-vendor competitive bid, based on its reputation for operational efficiency and breadth of services.
“SD is the clear market leader in removable, secure flash memory for consumer devices, and we're very happy to have been chosen to support and work with the SD Association,” said Deepak Kamlani, CEO of Global Inventures. “With their large international membership and high profile, the SDA fits well with our other client communities and we look forward to helping them continue their growth and successes.”
Global Inventures will provide operational services, including Virtual Business Services for account management, financial management, membership services, and administrative support for SDA’s membership. In addition, Global Inventures will provide executive management which will work closely with the Board of Directors. In addition to SDA, Global Inventures manages collaborative communities representing a complete spectrum of complimentary technologies for networking in the consumer market, featuring MoCA™, the HomePlug® Powerline Alliance, HomePNA™, UPnP® Implementers Corporation, WiMedia® Alliance, WINA, and ZigBee™ Alliance
