Stan Moyer combines a strong background in technology management with extensive experience in technology alliances, societies, and associations. He serves as President of Inventures, responsible for strategy, client service delivery and performance, and new client development.

Stan also serves as the Executive Director for an Inventures client, the SD Card Association, and he continues to create and launch new associations and technology alliances. Since joining Inventures in 2011, Stan has helped form and launch many new organizations and has served as Executive Director for several of those technology consortiums.

Stan has over 25 years of experience in the communications industry. He worked for 21 years in the Applied Research area of Telcordia Technologies, where he was the strategic research program manager responsible for overseeing Telcordia's long-range R&D program and facilitating monetization of its output. He is a member of the IEEE and has held many volunteer Board and other leadership positions in the IEEE Communications Society and other parts of the IEEE during the past 30 years.

Stan received an M.E. degree in electrical engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology, an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix, and a B.S. degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Maine.

As Vice President of Client Services, Steve Crumb oversees the information technology services delivered to Inventures’ clients. These services range from client-specific applications to a secure and available website, communications, and membership/financial management infrastructure.

Steve is also an active Executive Director and consultant for a variety of associations and technical alliances. Over the past 15 years, he has formed, led, or consulted more than 15 multi-stakeholder collaborations in various industries including automotive software, transportation networks, wireless power, universal communications, smart electrical grids, and smart cities. Steve provides his clients with strategic and tactical leadership, including the facilitation of board, advisory, and management steering committees. He also manages alliance revenue generation, including membership programs, grants, and sponsorships.

Before joining Inventures, Steve served as Executive Director and Vice President of Operations with the Open Grid Forum. Steve’s career has been sprinkled with several leading-edge technologies. He became a mentor to a software engineering team leveraging component-based development methodologies. He served as a Research Scientist at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications specializing in internetworking and participated in several IESF working groups. He also helped build and manage Motorola’s first corporate networking lab and launched some of its first TCP/IP networks and servers.

Steve holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Western Kentucky University and has several advanced technical certifications.

As Vice President of Marketing, Traci Renner oversees the Inventures marketing team and provides strategic planning and execution of marketing, branding, and communications programs for Inventures’ technology alliance and association clients. Her expertise includes organization messaging and positioning, brand identity, content strategy and creation, social media, and creating impactful internal and external communications programs that help drive and achieve business results.

Traci has more than 25 years of strategic marketing and communications experience. She has worked in a variety of industries including corporate, wireless and mobile technology, consumer technology, nonprofit, and financial services, among others. Before joining Inventures, Traci spent 15 years at Golin, a leading communications agency, where she led many technology accounts providing strategic counsel and developing comprehensive public relations programs for clients.

Traci holds a B.A. degree in Communications from California State University at Fullerton.

As Vice President of Ecosystem Development & Collaboration, Kevin Schader oversees Inventures’ executive directors, marketing and certification executives, and program and events managers, supporting Inventures’ clients. Kevin also serves as Executive Director for the UnitVisID Alliance, Mopria Alliance, and ONVIF, and provides communications counsel for the SD Association. He also supported several other clients, including ROEV, Thread Group, and the ZigBee Alliance (now Connectivity Standards Alliance). Kevin works side-by-side with consortia leadership, offering direction and counseling on a variety of strategic ecosystem development, marketing, and operational issues. He regularly consults with new clients seeking to start a new alliance or association.

Kevin has more than 25 years of technology experience and has an international public relations background, supporting a variety of industries including broadcast media, healthcare, security, telecommunications, and travel organizations.

Kevin graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. degree in Communications and International Studies from Southern Methodist University. He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Barbette Barlow joined Inventures in 2023 and has over 25 years of technology, financial, and management experience across several industries. As a previous small business owner in the accounting industry, she also understands the importance of building and maintaining client relationships. At Inventures, she is the Executive Director for Thread Group and the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers, Inc. (AIME). She works closely with their Board of Directors, ensuring their strategic direction aligns with their mission and goals, and provides support for executive and finance committees.

Before joining Inventures, Barbette worked as the Business Manager at Webscale Networks, Inc., the leader in cloud automation and management for global e-commerce businesses. Previously she held the position of Director of Education, Training and Communications at Visa International. Barbette also served as the Fundraising Committee Co-Chair of the Scleroderma Foundation NorCal Chapter for 2 ½ years.

Barbette graduated with distinction from Northeastern University with a B.S. degree in Computer Science and a minor in Business Administration.

Michele Lawrie-Munro has nearly 35 years of management and marketing experience with telecom and professional services firms, as well as associations and foundations. She joined Inventures in 2023 as Senior Manager for the International Aerospace Environmental Group (IAEG) and soon after transitioned to the Executive Director role. She also serves as the Executive Director for the Mobile Satellite Services Association (MSSA).

Before joining Inventures, she was the Executive Director of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers, Inc. (AIME), a 150+ year-old engineering foundation and historical society.

Michele received her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 2014 and has a B.S. from the University of Colorado-Boulder.

Tom Sciorilli combines a strong background in manufacturing, quality, and testing with more than 10 years of experience developing and leading world-class certification programs for technology organizations. He joined Inventures in 2015 as Executive Director of certification and currently serves as Certification Director for Thread Group, a leading technology alliance client. Before joining Inventures, Tom led the Wi-Fi Certified™ test program and technical operations at Wi-Fi Alliance.

Tom has more than 25 years of technology experience in roles spanning engineering, program management and leadership. He spent over 15 years in the semiconductor industry, working on the development of microprocessors, memories, and mobile products at Intel and Marvell.

Tom holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.

Jessica Esparza joined Inventures in 2010 and as Director of Operations, she manages the business operations team providing membership, financial management, and customer service support for various clients. With more than 10 years of customer service experience, Jessica has a keen focus on service excellence, which she achieves alongside her team by providing proactive, professional support for Inventures’ alliance and association clients.

Before becoming Director of Operations, Jessica has served in various positions at Inventures including certification specialist and membership support. She has also provided committee support for multiple member-based clients supporting their committee chairs and work group initiatives.

Jessica graduated from California State University, East Bay with a B.S. degree in Business Administration.

Barbara Fleming comes to Inventures with over 20 years of association and non-profit management experience. As a Senior Program Manager, she oversees and manages membership, development, events, communications, and operations. She thoroughly enjoys engaging with all the constituency group volunteers and is an effective communicator who skillfully manages the relationships between association members, staff and contractors, vendors, and other key stakeholders. In her previous position for a regional home building trade association in the Bay Area, she served as the staff liaison to the association’s multitude of committees and councils and provided administrative support services for the board of directors.

Barbara graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Virginia.
